The locknut nut type KMTA nut can be locked by three brass inserts, which are pressed onto the axle by setscrews. The main thread’s pitch continues through the brass insert’s front to get a tight closure of the mould. The angle of 60° allows to adjust a possible axial run-out between the nut’s contact surface and the shaft’s thread within the limits of the tolerances.
